Celebrity chef Curtis Stone has penned a heartfelt message of support for Queenscliff Cottage By the Sea, describing the charity as “close to his heart.” The message is contained in the foreward of a new cookbook, to be launched at the facility’s annual fair on Saturday January 16. Pictured: Cottage chef Marc Dean has collected recipes from the Cottage community for a new recipe book | “My darling mum, Lorraine (that’s “Lozza” to me) pours her heart and soul into the Cottage and I’m stoked to support in every way I can too. We both hold this charity in particular close to our hearts as Mum lives in Geelong and as a kid, we spent our summer holidays at the beach in Queenscliff – the home of the Cottage.” The book of kid-friendly recipes has been compiled by Cottage chef Marc Dean and includes recipes submitted by mentors, volunteers, ambassadors, staff, branch members and friends. “The recipes are healthy and simple to cook, which should help encourage and inspire home cooks of all levels to create meals that bring plenty of happiness to the dinner table. I hope you enjoy the recipe I’ve knocked up too, it’s a regular in our home,” said Stone. The Fair runs from 9am until 2pm. Entry is via a gold coin donation. |
